Sunday Audio Service – Lent 3 – Holy Communion – 12/3/23

Speaker:
Passage: Exodus 17: 1-7, Romans5: 1-11, John 4: 5-42
Service Type:

JUST AS I AM, without one plea.
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, and waiting not,
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about,
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind.
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve,
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, Thy love unknown,
Has broken every barrier down.
Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, of that free love,
The breadth, length, depth and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
O Lamb of God, I come.

FATHER, HEAR THE PRAYER WE OFFER:
Not for ease that prayer shall be,
But for strength, that we may ever
live our lives courageously.

Not for ever in green pastures
Do we ask our way to be:
But by steep and rugged pathways
Would we strive to climb to Thee.

Not for ever by still waters
Would we idly quiet stay.
But would smite the living fountains,
From the rocks along our way.

Be our strength in hours of weakness.
In our wanderings be our Guide.
Through endeavour , failure, danger,
Father, be Thou at our side.

Let our path be bright or dreary,
Storm or sunshine be our share.
May our souls, in hope unweary,
Make Thy work our ceaseless prayer.
     Love Maria Willis

I WILL OFFER UP MY LIFE
In spirit and truth,
Pouring out the oil of love
As my worship to You.
In surrender I must give my every part.
Lord, receive the sacrifice,
Of a broken heart.

Jesus, what can I give, what can I bring,
To so faithful a friend, to so loving a King?
Saviour, what can be said, what can be sung,
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done?
Oh, my words could not tell, not even in part,
Of the debt of love that is owed by this thankful heart.

You deserve my every breath,
For You’ve paid the great cost.
Giving up Your life to death,
Even death on a cross.
You took all my shame away,
There defeated my sin,
Opened up the gates of heaven,
And have beckoned me in.

O BREATH OF LIFE,
COME SWEEPING THROUGH US,
Revive Thy church with life and power.
O Breath of Life, come, cleanse, renew us,
And fit Thy church to meet this hour.

O Wind of God, come, bend us, break us,
Till humbly we confess our need;
Then in Thy tenderness remake us,
Revive, restore; for this we plead.

O Breath of Love, come, breathe within us,
Renewing thought and will and heart:
Come, love of Christ, afresh to win us,
Revive Thy church in every part.

Revive us, Lord! is zeal abating,
While harvest fields are vast and white?
Revive us, Lord, the world is waiting,
Equip Thy church to spread the light.
