Our Young People

St Margaret’s is a family orientated church welcoming children and young people, especially those with additional needs, to join our small, friendly group.

Holy Trinity welcomes babies and toddlers to enjoy our soft play space in the church during services and older kids to join our services.

Young People at Holy Trinity and St Margaret's

3-10 year olds

Tygre Club     Each Sunday morning (except the first), at the 9.30 am service,  our children leave the service to go across to The Sanctuary during the first hymn.  There they enjoy singing, games, Bible stories and talks with craft activities in appropriate age groups. There is also a crèche and any younger visitors are very welcome.   The children then rejoin the main service in time for Holy Communion.

At Christmas time  there are services for children  to join in and enjoy such as the Christingle and Crib services.

Crafternoons 3-13 year olds

Each term we host a Crafternoon – one for Christmas, one for Easter and one for summer, usually during the summer holidays. These are opportunities to enjoy fun activities  and usually involve piñatas as well as other things.

Tylers Green Youth – 10 – 15 year olds Our older kids get together every other Sunday between 5 and 7pm  for games, activities, food and a closing talk at The Sanctuary. This gives them a chance to hang out together with other Christians and relax.  It’s very informal but encouraging.

After our summer break, we shall be back on Sunday, 13 September between 5pm and 7pm in the Sanctuary.  All are welcome between year 6 and year 10.  See right for more detils.

Holy Trinity has a children’s play area at the back of the church near the font.

At Christmas there is a Christmas Jumper service, Christmas Tree Festival and Crib Service on Christmas Eve in which the children participate in all the actions.

All our leaders are DAB checked and we take safeguarding very seriously.
