Sunday Audio Service – Easter Day – Holy Communion – 9/4/23
JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN TODAY; Hallelujah!
Our triumphant holy day; Hallelujah!
Who did once upon the cross; Hallelujah!
Suffer to redeem our loss, Hallelujah!
Hymns of praise then let us sing, Hallelujah!
Unto Christ our heavenly King; Hallelujah!
Who endured the cross and grave, Hallelujah!
Sinners to redeem and save: Hallelujah!
But the pains which He endured, Hallelujah!
Our salvation have procured, Hallelujah!
Now in heaven above He’s King; Hallelujah!
Where the angels ever sing: Hallelujah!
Lyra Davidica.

JESUS IS LORD! Creation’s voice proclaims it,
For by His power each tree and flower
Was planned and made.
Jesus is Lord! The universe declares it,
Sun, moon and stars in heaven
Cry, ‘Jesus is Lord!’
Jesus is Lord! Jesus is Lord!
Praise Him with hallelujahs!
For Jesus is Lord!
Jesus is Lord! Yet from His throne eternal
In flesh He came to die in pain
On Calvary’s tree.
Jesus is Lord! From Him all life proceeding,
Yet gave His life a ransom.
Thus setting us free.
Jesus is Lord! O’er sin the mighty conqueror,
From death He rose, and all His foes,
Shall own His name.
Jesus is Lord! God sent His Holy Spirit
To show by works of power,
That Jesus is Lord.
David J. Mansell.

THINE BE THE GLORY,
Risen, conquering Son.
Endless is the victory,
Thou o’er death hast won.
Angels in bright raiment
Rolled the stone away,
Kept the folded graveclothes,
Where Thy body lay.
Thine be the glory,
Risen, conquering Son.
Endless is the victory,
Thou o’er death hast won!
Lo, Jesus meets us,
Risen from the tomb!
Lovingly He greets us,
Scatters fear and gloom.
Let the church with gladness,
Hymns of triumph sing,
For her Lord now liveth,
Death hath lost its sting.
No more we doubt Thee,
Glorious Prince of life.
Life is naught without Thee:
Aid us in our strife.
Make us more than conquerors,
Through Thy deathless love.
Lead us in Thy triumph,
To Thy home above.
Edmond Louis Budry.

WE HAVE A GOSPEL TO PROCLAIM,
Good news for all throughout the earth;
The gospel of a Saviour’s name:
We sing His glory, tell His worth.
Tell of His birth at Bethlehem,
Not in a royal house or hall
But in a stable dark and dim:
The Word made flesh, a light for all.
Tell of His death at Calvary,
Hated by those He came to save;
In lonely suffering on the cross
For all He loved His life He gave.
Tell of that glorious Easter morn:
Empty the tomb, for He was free.
He broke the power of death and hell
That we might share His victory.
Tell of His reign at God’s right hand,
By all creation glorified;
He sends His Spirit on His Church
To live for Him, the Lamb who died.
Now we rejoice to name Him King:
Jesus is Lord of all the earth.
This gospel message we proclaim:
We sing His glory, tell His worth.
