Sunday Audio Service – Easter 4 – Morning Worship – 21/4/24

Speaker:
Passage: Acts 4: 5-12, 1 John 3: 16-end, John 10, 11-16
Service Type:

IT IS A THING MOST WONDERFUL,
Almost too wonderful to be,
That God’s own Son should come from heaven,
And die to save a child like me.

And yet I know that it is true.
He came to this poor world below,
And wept, and toiled, and mourned, and died,
Only because He loved us so.

I cannot tell how He could love,
A child so weak and full of sin.
His love must be most wonderful,
If He could die my love to win.

It is most wonderful to know,
His love for me so free and sure.
But ’tis more wonderful to see,
My love for Him so faint and poor.

And yet I want to love Thee, Lord.
O light the flame within my heart,
And I will love Thee more and more,
Until I see Thee as Thou art.

THE LORD’S MY SHEPHERD, I’ll not want.
He makes me lie in pastures green.
He leads me by the still, still waters,
His goodness restores my soul.

And I will trust in You alone.
And I will trust in You alone,
For Your endless mercy follows me,
Your goodness will lead me home.

(Descant)
I will trust, I will trust in You.
I will trust, I will trust in You.
Endless mercy follows me,
Goodness will lead me home.

He guides my ways in righteousness,
And He anoints my head with oil,
And my cup, it overflows with joy,
I feast on His pure delights.

And though I walk the darkest path,
I will not fear the evil one,
For You are with me, and Your rod and staff,
Are the comfort I need to know.
Stuart Townend.

THE KING OF LOVE my Shepherd is,
Whose goodness faileth never.
I nothing lack if I am His
And He is mine forever.

Where streams of living water flow
My ransomed soul He leadeth,
And where the verdant pastures grow
With food celestial feedeth.

Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
But yet in love He sought me,
And on His shoulder gently laid,
And home rejoicing brought me.

!n death’s dark vale I fear no ill
With Thee, dear Lord, beside me.
Thy rod and staff my comfort still,
Thy cross before to guide me.

Thou spread’st a table in my sight.
Thy unction grace bestoweth.
And O what transport of delight
From Thy pure chalice floweth!

And so through all the length of days
Thy goodness faileth never.
Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise,
Within Thy house forever.

HOW LOVELY ON THE MOUNTAINS are the feet of Him,
Who brings good news, good news,
Proclaiming peace, announcing news of happiness,
Our God reigns, our God reigns.

Our God reigns, our God reigns,
Our God reigns, our God reigns.

You watchmen lift your voices joyfully as one,
Shout for your King, your King.
See eye to eye the Lord restoring Zion:
Your God reigns, your God reigns!

Waste places of Jerusalem break forth with joy,
We are redeemed, redeemed.
The Lord has saved and comforted His people:
Your God reigns, your God reigns!

Ends of the earth, see the salvation of your God,
Jesus is Lord, is Lord.
Before the nations He has bared His holy arm:
Your God reigns, your God reigns!
