Sunday Audio Service – Trinity 13 – Morning Worship – 3/9/23

Speaker:
Passage: Exodus 3: 1-15, Romans 12: 9-end, Matthew 16: 21-end
Service Type:

IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessèd, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might.
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

To all life Thou givest, to both great and small.
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all.
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish; but naught changeth Thee.

Great Father of glory, pure Father of light,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight.
All laud we would render: O help us to see,
’Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee.

Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessèd, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER,
All to Him I freely give.
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

   I surrender all,
   I surrender all,
All to Thee, my blessèd Saviour,
   I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow.
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Saviour, wholly Thine.
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee.
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame.
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!
J.W. van de Venter.

O LOVE THAT WILT NOT LET ME GO,
I rest my weary soul in thee:
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

O light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee:
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day,
May brighter, fairer be.

O joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee:
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.

O cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee:
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.

     LIFT HIGH THE CROSS,
     the love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore His sacred name!

Come, brethren, follow where our Captain trod,
Our King victorious, Christ the Son of God.

Each new-born soldier of the Crucified
Bears on his brow the seal of Him who died.

This is the sign which Satan's legions fear.
And angels veil, their faces to revere.

Saved by this cross whereon their Lord was slain,
The sons of Adam, their lost home regain.

From north and south, from east and west they raise,
In growing unison, their so-ng of praise.

O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree,
As Thou hast promised, draw men unto Thee.

Let every race and every language tell
Of Him who saves our souls from death and hell.

Set up Thy throne, that earth's despair may cease
Beneath the shadow of its hea-ling peace.
